It was originally built in the 17th century as a coaching Inn.
It still possesses tremendous character and a wonderful atmosphere in which to enjoy an overnight stay, light snack, evening meal or just a quiet drink.

On making the mistake to have the cravery all the food was cold the only warmth came from the gravy . It was probably my fault to have the cravey since when we came in it did look rather closed up but the waitress assured us that it was just covered up to keep it hot i asked the waitress if she you get my meal heated up she said she would put it in the microwave i suggested that since it would be a reheated meal that the cost of the meal could be adjusted , she left and the owner then immediately returned with my meal asked was it true i wanted the temperature raised i pointed out that was in fact cold his reply was well two other people had just got a meal from the cravery and they hadn’t complained that it was cold he seemed to have no interest in replacing my meal and by then his colleague had all joined him saying they had severed over a 100 meals early and no one had complained , maybe these two where too threatening for other customers
i told him that as it was 3 o’clock maybe it would be best to stop serving the cravery
Their attitude was still "we don’t think the food is cold" at this point i could see that there was no way that they wouls except the was a problem with the food so i said fine i just won’t have any food . my wifes meal was ok ish until she got the bottom of the pie to find a large lump of gristle.
Shortly after that the bill arrived
i told him that i would only be paying for the drinks his reaction was that he would call the police ( the bill for two drinks and one meal was only £14.00) fine says i call the police . his and the other guy manner be came even more aggressive , so we upped and left ,I would like to point out there are a lot more pubs in the area where the food is good and staff friendly and helpful. Maybe try the George in Hadleigh or the Bell in Kersey one of the nicest pubs in the area How Discussed am i my the Brewers Arms well it’s the first time I have ever bothered to write a review
