Before the refurb this was a dismal dingy place indeed, However now with a new look and New management it is a very clean and comfortable place to enjoy some Ale. Regular guest Ales and the food is inspired and absolutely delicious. Prices slighly above average but then the quality and sevice in this pub is definately above average too.

I have been to the Charles Dickens a few times now and each time has been really good. The pub is well looked after and the staff and locals all seem friendly. The drinks selection is quite impressive, they have a good select of draft larger and quite a few spirits that you won't see in other pubs. I have even been down there for sunday roast with the family, which was excellent and the service was good, everyone had a good time.
