Reading the other review of this restaurant we nearly did not go. Three of us went in the end and we were glad that we had. The restaurant is contemporary inside. The service was excellent and the food good. I had prawns in a brandy sauce to start - it was just enough and delicious. My friends had calamari and bruschetta which they both enjoyed. The calamari was fresh and the batter crispy. For main I had the lasagne and a green salad, my friends had spaghetti with clams (with the shells) and a chicken dish. All enjoyed our food. The lasagne was made with fresh pasta and my only criticism is it could have done with a little more meat. We had a bottle of Chianti Classico which was delicious. Two of us had desert - a banoffee pie and a panna cotta. For a good reasonably priced Italian meal I was pleasantly surprised and glad that we went.

What was good - friendly, enthusiastic staff and extensive varied menu.

What was not good - We had a table by the front door and drafty patio style windows.
    - We were served as if we had a train to catch.
    - Loud music playing, could not have a conversation without shouting.
    - I had the Seafood Rissotto - mussells came cooked in their shells mixed in with the rice and tomatoes sauce, very unpleasent eating bits of broken shells. It was served in a large dish, shaped like a Gents Urinal Bowl!
    - My partner had steak = £13.95 and had to pay an extra £2.99 for some vegtables. Our friends had chicken = £8.95 and had to pay an extra £3.50 for salad.
    - As soon as we had finished our last mouthful of starters, the main course appeared, as soon as our plates were cleared away we were offered the sweet's menu - no pause in between.
    - A group of people arrived and were waiting behind our chairs for our table. We had finished within an hour.
    - Not a restaurant to have a nice relaxed unhurried meal, unless you keep buying their wine of course, which we were not - we were driving!
    - The Manager obviously wanted to make as much money as possible "get them in quick and get them out again". Unfortunately he has lost 4 repeat customers and we have friends......
