I haven't always been a photographer of people; it was being awestruck by the landscapes of northern Scotland whilst working as a conservation volunteer which initially inspired me to pick up a cheap Fuji compact camera and start recording my surroundings.
I enrolled on a photography course in 2000, and in my following years of study I began to photograph a varied range of subjects, including environmental issues, political demonstrations, portraiture and music photography.
