seemed fine you get what it says on the tin well that was in the summer of 2007 and 2008..if you a la carte you really need to to 7 and pay there prices.

Absolutely disgusted at the service!
This pub used to be a relaxing, pleasant place to go, especially on a summer's day as it's right on the beach. However, I'd NEVER set foot in there again under the current management.
I requested quite simply if was possible to eat a la carte outside (a reasonoble request seeing as it's a beach-side pub) & the manager, Allan Taylor was very abrupt - barked 'bar menu only' and turned his back on me. I asked to complain as wasn't happy with his manner, he said I could report him to the brewery but they'd do nothing and was very rude, so i said I'd go to the local paper and he actually DID A LITTLE DANCE and said 'ooh i'm scared'. The waitress behind him stood and goaded him on. Hardly what I'd call customer service! Other customers were also shocked and said so at the time.
Long queues, rude staff, terrrible example of a chain pub taking over a lovely place and knowing they can get away with such ludicrously poor service and standards.
So if you enjoy lager n chips and being abused by staff, then this is the place for you!
