I went to Souk, Litchfield street for my best friends birthday. When we arrived the venue was lovely it was like being transported, with shisha outside and a lovely setting. On arrival the staff were friendly and polite as they were throughout the night. Once we had ordered it took an hour before we recieved our food, and while we waited we ordered cocktails all of which were warm, we did ask for ice five times and it did finally come, when the food finally arrived, both the starters and main courses came together. My un-seasoned apparent Calamary - Squid in cold, watery, flavourless tomato sauce was feezing cold and had to be sent back, I didn't require another helping but was given one which was just as cold and disgusting, I then tried the main, of which I had ordered the Souk Paella. the rice was over cooked and watery the whole thing tated of fish guts and every mouthfull was cockells and mussels, my friend who had ordered the same had exactly the same experience, after a few mouthfulls and some pushing the food around the tarine we decided to leave it. Another friend had the chicken, spinach and feta, again it was flavourless mush, as was the lamb couscous. Even the starters of fries and mayo, were cold and soggy and mayoless. We complained to the manager, which we had to wait over half an hour to do, regardless of which the night was ruined. The setting, the waitress, the belly dancing and the Charbet (non alcoholic cocktail) were fantastic. The food disgusting, bar one plate every plate was left full! SUCH A DISSAPOINTING NIGHT! I WILL NOT REFER ANYONE!
