Right by the Playhouse in Weston-Super-Mare this poor excuse for a Thai restaurant should be located 6 miles offshore and 6 feet under the mud. We went there once before and it was.....quite nice, nothing special but OK. This time however it was a disgrace. All the starters had one flavor; crispy old grease. We wandered if they just went to the local Aldi, got a plate of battered prawns and other fish products then deep fried it until any remaining flavor had vanished and the whole pastry / batter coating was nearly burnt. At least we knew it must be sterile! We could barely detect a difference in taste from the starter when we began the main course. My wife thought she had ordered a prawn/fish soup, but what arrived was a bowl of watery Bisto liquid gank with 11 prawns that had clearly been in deep freeze for God knows how long, or maybe even scraped from the ice inside the kitchen freezer after the Aldi bag containing them had split...we didn't stay for dessert. If you are thinking about going to this restaurant for a romantic meal for two, don't, it's also expensive compared to other local restaurants. We'd advise you throw £30 down the drain and spend £10 on a Micky D's. You'll have a much nicer meal and you'll still have about £10 leftover for a taxi. I left this restaurant feeling mugged and full of lard, cheap lard in fact. You have been warned.
