We have had our children at this school for over 2 years now, the older one is currently in the junior class, and the younger not yet at school age. It is a fantastic place for young children, with the emphasis on developing these children in to well rounded, enthusiastic people who love to learn. I was initially reluctant about not going through the usual state system of education, but coming to visit the school, meeting the teaching staff and their obvious love and enthusiasm for the children and then seeing the results on our children is amazing. By using methods whereby the children decide what to study, they bring enormous enthusiasm to the tasks and get completely absorbed, repeating the task until they have properly learnt. This vital skill is teaching them how to learn, not just how to pass tests or exams - it is all about the children, and you can see this from the results - our son at the age of 5 can read fluently, had a great grasp of maths and is learning foreign languages, and because he has chosen to learn these himself, when he wants to, he is so committed to learning about them. I can not recommend it enough as an environment where the children are everything

The school exists in a wonderful building with fantastically positive teachers. My over exciteable son has learned to tidy up, play positivesly, and pay attention. He is very happy there and is learning well. The school is right next door to a lovely park wher the children get to play in a safe environment. It's not the cheapest pre-school, but I wouldn't change anything.

My children have gone from strength to strength since attending this school and have developed a real love of learning, together with an ability to think for themselves, problem solving and an empathy for their peers. The practical life skills taught by the school when they were younger have enabled them to confidently, safely and effectively carry out tasks such as polishing, dusting, washing and sweeping. The teaching is second to none - my son was a fluent reader by 4 years old, despite being on the special needs (SEN) register , thus enabling him to independently learn anything he chooses - he is currently teaching himself spanish and he is only 5 years old! The calm and gentle, autodidactic learning style of this school suits my children immensely and I am full of praise for the school and the wonderful staff there. If you are looking for an authentic Montessori experience for your child, I cannot recommend it enough.

Our 4yr old daughter has been attending the B&H Montessori School for just over a year and we have nothing but praise for the school and it's staff. The Montessori method of teaching suits our daughter very well - she loves the independent learning style, the co-operation amongst her peers, the appreciation of her environment and the practical skills she learns. We wish all schools could be like this one.

A warm, wonderful school that has enabled my three year old to begin understanding reading, spelling, maths, geography and music. Her teachers (the two Lauras) are the some of the best I have ever encountered. I can not praise this modest and lovely little school enough.

This school infers that it is Montessori accredited when it is not, spent 6 years claiming in its prospectus and website that it goes up to age 11 when it was only ever licenced with Ofsted to 9. This remained until Trading Standards and Ofsted got involved. This school also let it's children play daily with Brasso, a very well known eye, skin and lung irritant that plainly says 'Keep Out of Reach of Children' on it's packaging.
